As the temperatures begin to drop and the southern heat subsides, the obvious signals of season changes are in the Louisiana air. LSU football is in full swing. For Head Distiller Luka Cutura alongside Assistant Distillers Chris Williams and Chuck Donahue, this time of year lends to rum distillations. The sugarcane harvest has begun and in full swing. Genuine Louisiana molasses is the main ingredient for the distillery’s Black Pearl Rum and the distillers take great pride in being true to the state’s roots.
